About

NoLimit City clearly caught the scatter pays bug, and it is not out of its system yet. Hot on the heels of Duck Hunters, the studio has loaded up again and gone looking for a bigger game with Gator Hunters, released in August 2025. The link to its predecessor is obvious, but the multiplier engine has been rebuilt. Instead of scattered position multipliers, a single total multiplier does the damage here, fed by bullet values from a set of spinning Revolvers.

The setting swaps the back porch for deep swamp country, the kind of humid backwater where the American alligator rules. Players take on the role of hunters picking their way through the reeds, and the reward for a good trip is suitably toothy. This being a NoLimit City title, the maths carry real bite, with four separate bonus rounds, a stack of buys, and a 25,000x max win waiting at the top. High volatility is the price of admission, paired with a 96.11% RTP on the top configuration.

Betting Options

Gator Hunters is a scatter pays game across a 6x5 grid, so forget fixed lines. A win lands whenever 8 or more matching symbols appear anywhere on the board. Those symbols then clear out, fresh ones tumble down to fill the gaps, and the process repeats for as long as new combinations keep forming. The full stake range sits in the spec box above.

The paytable splits into two camps. Boots, binoculars, liquor bottles, bear traps, and baby gators make up the low end, returning 0.15x to 2.5x the bet for an eight or nine symbol cluster. A quartet of caricatured backwoods hunters fills the premium slots, and the fattest clusters of fourteen or more are worth 5x to 60x.

Gator Hunters Bonus Features

Two mechanics drive the base game before any round begins. The Eater symbol arrives one at a time, but only when a spin produces no win. The standard version wipes out a random selection of symbols along with every matching instance, drops new ones into the gaps, then turns wild. The Super Eater does the same job but carries an x2, x3, or x10 multiplier into any win it joins.

The Revolver takes over when there are no wins left and no Eaters on the board. Each one holds a cylinder of bullets and blank chambers. It spins, lands on a random chamber, and if a bullet comes up, its value joins the running total multiplier for that spin. Up to six Revolvers can appear together. A standard Revolver fires once, a Super Revolver spins again every time it hits a bullet, and a Super Fire Revolver forces every loaded Revolver to spin again on a hit. Bullet values climb through Purple at x2 to x8, Blue at x10 to x20, Orange at x30 to x75, Red at x100 to x500, and White at a brutal x1,000 to x2,000.

The free spins come in 4 escalating flavours, all triggered by scatters and all keeping the total multiplier throughout:

  • Swamp Spins: 3 scatters open 10 spins with one random upgrade.
  • Frenzy Spins: 4 scatters bring 12 spins with two upgrades.
  • Gator Spins: 5 scatters deliver 15 spins with three upgrades.
  • Apex Predator Spins: 6 scatters unleash 18 spins with four upgrades, and the Super Revolvers boost becomes Super Fire Revolvers instead.

The upgrade pool covers an extra x2 bullet, an extra x10 bullet, all Eaters promoted to Super Eaters, or all Revolvers promoted to Super Revolvers. Landing further scatters mid-round tops up the spin count.

Design and Theme

Gator Hunters wears its swamp setting with grubby pride. The reels sit behind a chain-link fence topped with barbed wire, danger signs warn of lurking reptiles, and the whole thing is framed by misty bayou trees that shift from bright daylight to burnt sunset as play rolls on. It is unmistakably NoLimit City, all gritty cartoon edges and dark humour.

The character art does the heavy lifting. The premium symbols are a rogues’ gallery of sunburnt, bandana-clad hunters rendered with the studio’s usual mischief, while the gators themselves range from newly hatched to full-grown menace. The Revolver round is the visual centrepiece, with its spiked cylinder and glowing bullet chambers selling the danger of every spin. Loud, scruffy, and a little unhinged, it suits the subject matter perfectly.

Wrap Up

Gator Hunters is a dense, maximalist slot that rewards players who enjoy picking apart a busy feature set. The Revolver multiplier system gives every dead spin a second purpose, the four-tier bonus ladder keeps the chase interesting, and the buy menu offers a route in at almost any budget. The 25,000x top prize and White bullet values hint at just how far the maths can stretch on the right run.

None of that softens the high volatility, so this is one for players who can stomach long dry spells in return for genuine firepower. If that sounds like your kind of hunt, Gator Hunters hands you plenty of ammunition.
