Slot Wars: Helios Triple Sun vs Triple Hop Pots
Greek divinity meets three lucky frogs as two very different Pragmatic Play slots fight for the Slot Wars crown.

Pragmatic Play has gone from Mount Olympus to a peaceful pond for this week’s clash, and somehow both destinations lead to the same 5,000x max win.
Helios Triple Sun surrounds a 6x5 scatter pays grid with temples, clouds and enough gold to make the Greek treasury nervous. Three coloured Suns control its bonus modifiers, with extra rows, multiplier symbols and a persistent multiplier all waiting to combine during Free Spins.
Triple Hop Pots shrinks everything down to a 3x3 grid with 5 paylines, puts three frogs above the reels and gives each one control of a different reel multiplier. Money symbols do the heavy lifting once Free Spins begin, with values reaching 500x the bet before active frog multipliers are applied.
They could hardly look more different, but their identical 5,000x top prizes make them ideal opponents for Slot Wars. Time to see whether Helios can burn through the competition or whether the frogs have enough luck in the pot.
Round 1: Winning Potential and RTP
There is nowhere to hide in the first category. Both games stop at exactly 5,000x the bet.
Helios Triple Sun reaches that figure through a much larger 6-reel, 5-row grid, where eight or more matching symbols can pay anywhere on screen. Winning symbols disappear after each payout, replacements tumble into the gaps and further wins can follow without another paid spin.
Its real firepower arrives during Free Spins. Red Sun multiplier symbols can carry values as high as 100x, while the Blue Sun can raise a persistent multiplier after every winning tumble. Add the Yellow Sun’s extra row and the game can create considerably more room for those systems to overlap.
Triple Hop Pots reaches the same 5,000x max win from a much smaller playground.
Its 3x3 grid uses 5 traditional paylines, but the Free Spins round introduces Money symbols worth between 0.5x and 500x the bet. Those prizes are then multiplied according to whichever frogs are active on their respective reels.
The Red Frog is particularly important, assigning 3x, 6x and 3x multipliers across the 3 reels. Green adds 2x to reels one and two, while Purple adds 2x to reels two and three. When several frogs are active, those values are added together, making the middle reel the prime landing spot for a valuable Money symbol.
Different maths, same destination.
The RTP battle is almost as close, but Triple Hop Pots takes it by the smallest measurable margin. Helios Triple Sun returns 96.46%, while Triple Hop Pots reaches 96.50%.
The gap is minimal, but Triple Hop Pots comes out slightly ahead on RTP.

Round 2: Bonus Features
Helios Triple Sun builds its bonus around three coloured Suns, and each one has a very specific job.
The Red Sun introduces multiplier symbols worth up to 100x. The Yellow Sun opens an additional row containing four extra positions above the regular grid. The Blue Sun raises a persistent multiplier by 1x after every winning tumble, with the increased value remaining in place for the rest of the feature.
Free Spins begin with 8 spins, and the triggering Suns decide which modifiers are active from the start. One colour can be enough to enter the feature, but landing further Sun Scatters during the round can unlock missing modifiers and award 3 additional spins.
That creates a particularly attractive three-part combination. Yellow gives the symbols more room, Red supplies individual multiplier values and Blue rewards repeated tumble wins with a multiplier that keeps climbing.
Helios also offers an Ante Bet that costs 50% more per spin in exchange for a higher chance of reaching Free Spins. Then there are two direct purchases. The 80x Bonus Buy enters Free Spins with between one and three modifiers, while the 200x option guarantees all three Suns from the opening spin.
Triple Hop Pots takes a simpler route, but there is some clever arithmetic hiding behind those smiling frogs.
Green, Red and Purple Scatters correspond to the three frogs above the reels. Triggering Free Spins with one, two or three colours decides how many frog modifiers start active. The Green Frog places 2x multipliers on reels one and two. Purple does the same on reels two and three. Red covers all three reels with 3x, 6x and 3x.
The important part is that overlapping values are added together. That matters once Money symbols appear, because every Money prize is multiplied by the combined value attached to its reel. A 500x Money symbol landing under several active frog modifiers is considerably more interesting than the compact 3x3 layout first suggests.
Scatters can also appear again during Free Spins. A newly activated frog stays active for the remainder of the feature and adds 3 extra spins, so a bonus that starts modestly can become much stronger if the missing colours arrive.
Triple Hop Pots does this well, but its feature list is deliberately restrained. There are no Wilds, no Bonus Buy and very little happening outside the frog system.
Helios takes this round simply because it has more ways for its bonus to change while it is running, and the 3 Sun effects interact without becoming difficult to follow.
Round 3: Visuals and Audio
This is where the gap becomes more obvious.
Helios Triple Sun makes no attempt at subtlety.
Helios himself stands beside the reels in full golden armour, surrounded by marble temples, glowing skies, polished columns and what appears to be the entire annual production of Greek jewellery.
The 3 Sun pots sit above the grid in red, yellow and blue, making their roles easy to follow before the bonus even begins. When a modifier activates, the change is visible immediately. The extra row opens above the grid, multiplier symbols stand out clearly and the persistent multiplier receives enough attention to make each increase noticeable.
The soundtrack goes equally large, with grand mythological music and sharper effects when Suns are collected or multiplier events occur.
Triple Hop Pots heads somewhere much quieter.
Its reels sit beside flowing water, traditional buildings, lanterns and warm evening light. Lotus flowers, fish, gemstones and hearts fill the tiny grid while three cartoon frogs watch from above.
It is colourful, readable and well suited to the POP label. The frogs react when their corresponding Scatters appear, Money symbols are easy to identify and the reel multipliers remain visible without turning the screen into a spreadsheet.
The music follows the setting with light, cheerful tones rather than dramatic fanfare. There is nothing wrong with that restraint. In fact, the visual clarity suits a low-volatility 3x3 slot very well. But the theme itself is much less distinctive. Lucky frogs, Asian architecture and symbols of prosperity are familiar casino territory, while Helios Triple Sun commits more strongly to its character and makes the three coloured Suns part of both the artwork and the mechanics.
Helios wins the theme category by the clearest margin of the entire fight.
The visuals and audio category is closer because Triple Hop Pots is polished and unusually clean for such a small grid, but Olympus still has more to look at and more to hear.
And The Winner Is…
Triple Hop Pots keeps this contest close with the slightly stronger 96.50% RTP, the same 5,000x max win and a simple frog-multiplier system that becomes much more interesting once several modifiers overlap.
Helios Triple Sun edges ahead because its bonus has more layers. The Red Sun adds multiplier symbols, the Yellow Sun expands the grid and the Blue Sun builds a persistent multiplier through winning tumbles. Those mechanics also work together rather than sitting separately.
The presentation helps too. Triple Hop Pots is clean, colourful and easy to follow, but Helios makes stronger use of its Greek setting and ties the three Suns directly into both the visuals and the gameplay.
The frogs put up a good fight, but Helios Triple Sun takes this Slot Wars win.
