Five years on from the original, NoLimit City returns to the frontier with True Grit Redemption 2, and the world has not gotten any warmer. Set fifteen years after the first game, the sequel moves the action to a snow-covered wooden fort, trading the original's raw brutality for a slightly more stylised but no less ruthless cast of characters. The Hunter and Redemption Girl are back, working their way through the crew one avalanche at a time. 

Mechanically, this is a significant step up from its predecessor, a 6x4 grid with a dedicated Enhancer Reel, a compounding global multiplier, and a toolbox of x-mechanics that includes xBombs, xSplit, xWays in three flavours, Rats, Rat Kings, and more. Extreme volatility, a 96.07% RTP, and a 34,000x maximum win. • xSplit — Splits every other symbol in its row, doubling each split symbol's multiplier and unlocking any locked boxes on that row. Converts into a regular paying symbol once activated.
• xWays — Reveals a random paying symbol carrying the current global multiplier, then adds x2, x3, or x4 to itself. Multiple xWays symbols always reveal the same symbol type.
• Toxic xWays — Works like xWays but also adds x2 to every existing instance of the revealed symbol on the grid.
• Infectious xWays — Reveals a random paying symbol and doubles the multiplier of every existing instance of that symbol on the grid. Only appears during Vengeance Spins and Redemption Spins. Multiple Infectious xWays symbols always reveal the same symbol.
• xWild — Converts every symbol on the same reel into a wild, preserving their individual multipliers. Does not affect scatters, Redemption Girl, Rat, or Rat King symbols.
• Redemption Girl — A wild that absorbs the multipliers of all non-Rat symbols on the grid into itself. When she contributes to a win, her multiplier is added to the global multiplier for the next avalanche.
• The Hunter — Appears only in the Enhancer Reel or locked boxes. Adds x50 to itself, every symbol on the grid, and the global multiplier simultaneously. Does not affect Redemption Girl, Rat, Rat King, or scatter symbols.

Three scatter symbols trigger 7 Reckoning Spins, four trigger 10 Vengeance Spins, and five award 12 Redemption Spins. Each mode builds on the last:

• Reckoning Spins — The global multiplier carries over between spins rather than resetting, and any unlocked boxes remain open for the full duration of the round.

The character symbols have taken on a slightly more stylised, illustrative quality compared to the first game, giving the cast a more distinct visual identity without losing any of their menace. 

The Enhancer Reel sits visibly above the main grid, clearly separated and easy to track, an important design decision given how much of the game's mechanical weight passes through it. Locked box positions are immediately readable, the avalanche animations are clean and purposeful, and the global multiplier counter is prominent enough to follow without interrupting the action. It is a dense game presented with clarity.

True Grit Redemption 2 takes everything its predecessor built and layers considerably more on top of it. The global multiplier system threading through every mechanic, the Rats, the xBombs, the Redemption Girl, the Hunter, creates a game where a single well-timed avalanche chain can dramatically shift the session's entire value. Redemption Spins with a fully open grid and a compounding multiplier already climbing is as close to peak NoLimit City as it gets.
