Smokey has robbed banks, caused chaos across Paris and generally treated honest employment as a personal insult. Le Bandit Hold & Win brings Hacksaw Gaming’s familiar criminal back for another job, although this time his operation has been downsized considerably.

Instead of the larger setups seen elsewhere in the Le series, this version uses a compact 3x3 grid with 9 paylines. Wins require 3 matching symbols across a line, with regular icons including playing-card letters alongside traps, baguettes and Smokey’s unmistakable top hat. There are no Wild symbols, so the more interesting payouts come from the game’s Coin system rather than substitution mechanics.

Le Bandit Hold & Win runs with a 96.27% RTP, high volatility and a 2,500x max win. The smaller grid gives the game a faster, cleaner rhythm, while Coins, Jackpot Markers, Clovers and Pots of Gold provide the machinery needed to turn this miniature Parisian robbery into something much busier.

Le Bandit Hold & Win covers a broad stake range, making the compact format suitable for different bankrolls without complicating the basic setup. Players simply choose their stake and spin normally, with no extra wager required to access the standard Coin and Rainbow mechanics.

Coins and Jackpot Markers

Landing at least 3 Coins, Jackpot Markers or any combination of the two awards their values after regular line wins are settled.

Coin values are divided into 3 groups. Bronze Coins can pay from 0.2x to 2x, Silver Coins range from 3x to 9x, while Gold Coins can carry prizes between 10x and 50x.

The Jackpot Markers offer fixed rewards instead. The Mini pays 5x, the Major 25x, the Mega 250x and the Grand 2,500x, which also matches the slot’s maximum possible win.

Landing the Rainbow symbol triggers Rainbow Fortune Hold & Win with 3 initial spins.

During the bonus, regular symbols disappear and the reels are reserved for Coins, Jackpot Markers, Pots of Gold, Clovers and dead symbols. Any new active special symbol sticks to the board and resets the counter to three, so a well-timed arrival can keep Smokey’s robbery running longer.

The Clover adds the multiplication element. Once active, Clovers can multiply Coin and activated Pot of Gold values by 2x to 20x.

The Pot of Gold works as a collector. When it lands, it activates available Clovers before gathering values from Coins and previously activated Pots of Gold. Collected Coins are then removed from the grid, creating empty spaces where new symbols can arrive.

Jackpot Markers are revealed after the collection sequence and pay before the next spin.

There is also a useful board-reset mechanic. If the grid fills completely with qualifying special symbols, the current Coins, multipliers and jackpots are resolved before those symbols are cleared. That gives the feature another opportunity to rebuild rather than simply ending on a packed board.

The Epic Rainbow triggers the stronger version of the bonus.

Rainbow Epic Drop Hold & Win uses the same basic mechanics, but it begins with a full grid of special symbols. Coins, Jackpot Markers, Pots of Gold and Clovers can all appear immediately, with at least one Coin and one Pot of Gold guaranteed from the start.

Coins in this version also begin at 1x or higher, removing some of the weakest possible values from the opening setup.

Le Bandit Hold & Win returns to the faded Parisian streets that helped give the original game its personality. Smokey stands beside the reels clutching his crowbar, looking less like a sophisticated master thief and more like someone who has just remembered which apartment has the loose window.

The artwork keeps the exaggerated cartoon style associated with the Le games, mixing old Paris architecture with slapstick criminal energy. Baguettes, traps, hats and colourful Coins keep the reels visually simple, while the jackpot displays sit prominently beside the grid.

The 3x3 format also changes the presentation noticeably. There is less visual clutter than in some other Hacksaw releases, allowing the special symbols to stand out whenever the Hold & Win begins filling the screen. It feels intentionally compact rather than unfinished.

Le Bandit Hold & Win takes the increasingly elaborate Le formula and runs in the opposite direction. The tiny 3x3 grid and 9 paylines create a simpler starting point, but the bonus system still finds room for Coins, fixed jackpots, 20x Clover multipliers, Pots of Gold and two distinct Hold & Win setups.

The Rainbow Epic Drop is the obvious highlight. Beginning with a completely filled special-symbol grid gives the feature an immediate sense of action and removes much of the waiting usually associated with building a Hold & Win board.

The 2,500x max win is smaller than the giant prizes seen in some Hacksaw Gaming releases, but Le Bandit Hold & Win is clearly designed as a leaner take on Smokey’s usual criminal routine. It trades some scale for speed, while keeping enough interactive mechanics to prevent the compact grid from feeling too basic.
